超級無敵累 真的 很久沒這麼累了 六月到現在 偶爾偷懶喘氣 但大致上  真的很忙碌 很趕 很敢 這星期 最後兩個作業（嚴格來說是5個故事概念） 你行的！！！

June - Sept 2019: Writerslab Knew it was gonna be tough juggling a part-time course and work the moment I signed up for it, but it turns out to be much more fulfilling than I imagined - and I’m amazed by how I stayed awake in every class even if I felt tired because every session engaged me with more knowledge and insights relevant to scriptwriting :> 真的耶，只要有興趣，再累都不累 . I love the energy of the class, the out-of-the-world creativity without constraints of censorship and budgets, and how every single story can be constantly improved by the ideas of many other people. Indeed, sky’s the limit and you’re only limited by the limits you set for yourself. Despite being pretty troubled by how the basis of my idea has been done before so many times, I’m proud to say it is now same same but different, and better, with the inputs of everyone - so thank you all!  . 有一點點神奇 在大學期間幾乎每次上學都要坐30號回家的路上 我今天又再坐了一次  但是這次是去參加課程結束的燒烤會 原本以為有事去不了 結果去得了又很猶豫該不該去 會不會尷尬 rsvp的時候改了一次又一次 結果為了不想讓自己當個逃兵 我答應去了 甚至提早去幫忙起火 比預期還遲離開 雖然不是最安逸的 但我也沒有一次聚會是安逸的啊 這已經算是很不錯的一次嘗試了 （我居然一個人參加聚會哈哈哈） In any case, the super hectic and busy 3 months have finally come to an end, but it was truly a very very rewarding journey where I pushed myself (though slacked at times too) to write and rewrite and rewrite  Pretty satisfied with how the series bible and scripts eventually turned out - but there’s definitely always areas to improve more on  Just really grateful that I’ve learnt and recapped so much more abt scriptwriting skills and had a coach/peers to look through the work and point out areas of improvement And some personal takeaways - - Stop going to the extremes (hahah coach finds my 18yo lead too childish cause she’s quite extreme in her reactions... but it keeps popping up till I said “I think I’m the immature one” cause I ...

一直想不通 一直寫不對 logline昨晚成功把我逼瘋 整個頭昏腦脹超級不爽 直到沖涼時鎮定自己 把它再整理一次 心情才好了一些 ... 雖然還是不知道可以通過了沒 超累 // 我只想好好寫劇本不行嗎 // 好吧 至少練習logline和寫好劇本有關聯 也算必經途徑 好過其他沒用的事情

On course for these three days And a sentence from the coach struck me  Context: Ci told me that I shld go exercise cause she thinks I’m feeling depressed. Recently clarified this matter w her cause I couldn’t understand how she got that vibe. And she said that I was spiraling downwards and a few of them felt the same abt me from the convo we shared. I was surprised, because I didn’t know they had such discussions privately, and also because no one looked like they had an issue while I was happy about having more deep conversations. Differences, indeed.  But in any case, I had a question lingering in my head since ci told me all that - what exactly did I say that made them feel that way? I rmb casually mentioning about how jumping down from a hdb flat at lvl 10 (is Sam’s house) may not lead to death, but just that no? And I finally remembered the other line... today.  Life feels like nothing because it starts and end at the same point - nothing.  And ...

Time for reflections! Just finished 1 sitcom/drama and 1 variety course by the same coach, as well as 1 more scripting class by some hkg coaches I’ve got to say, chad’s classes are probably the best classes I’ve attended till date 👍 And so most of this post is on my takeaways from Chad’s classes We went through the foundations (that we always forget about) and looked at so many video clips that rlly expanded my worldview/scope of things  Just to note whatever’s at the back of my head 6 storytelling elements = genre, premise (concise statements that sparks infinite no of conflicts and sets emotional & thematic functions of show), characters, conflict, story/story engine, vision/worldview STORY is KING = want (tangible & emotional) + obstacle + action + transformation   CHARACTER(S) is KEY, set great characters with conflicting worldview/personalities and they will work in any situations Every scene and story idea should be motivated to 1) s...

These two weeks are filled with courses, 3 to be exact, And while I feel tired about having to report to office at 930 for 8 weekdays straight  I’m actually excited about learning stuff from the classes - and the first class on writing for variety shows turned out to be amazingly great woohoo   學習使我快樂！

A few things happened (to be updated next time) 1. Transmedia course part 2 recapped a lot of what was covered but it was a great refresher course and i had a lot more inspirations than before - probably after the additional months of experience hopefully? but really enjoyed the class and interacted with two other colleagues from the programming department who were rlly nice people :)  2. Ran 4km w angela + ran 5km at the gym after class at 9.2-5 pushed myself like madddddd to catch up with her but it seems like we ended up pushing each other to the maximum (though she can go even faster i suppose) but super shiok and fruitful run cause my gym speed increased to 9.2 or even 9.5 - though we ended up at macs after that w harcheonggai burger and drumlets hahahah 3. It has been a super tiring first month of the year. It felt like I went back to the last sem of Uni when I had to finish 7 assignments/projects in one weeek and 6 in another  Only that this time, it's only approx three assignments and I'm feeling super shagged (yes I'm rlly becoming old)  That being said, this month has been really fruitful with loads of things learnt and senses turned on  Working on CYE allowed me to learn so much from my colleague - it was nearly like a one on one tuition on scriptwriting (tyvm al!) - setup payoff setup payoff setup payoff haha Going through a weekly (in fact more - from once to twice to thrice a week worth) of sitcom classes also ingrained the idea of 3act structure into my brain while giving me tips on writing jokes and punchlines  Super tired from all the classes and writing scripts and concepts but I'm glad I stepped out of the comfort zone and reaped rewards I wouldn't have 🙌 PS I wrote an ep on PCK woohoo!...

Attended a course on VR on wed and thurs ... by myself (awkward turtle mode) With two other CD producers and other variety ppl  Was on tenterhooks cause idk how to interact w ppl (as usual)  But focusing on the content being shared kinda reduced that fear by quite a great deal  And super thankful for the variety  producers who didn't mind my antisocial-ness and treated me like a xmm when I went out filming w them  Probably made then wonder why a girl in her 20s can be that loss for words :/  But thank you y'all!  Went to the class being pretty apprehensive cause I rlly don't think vr/360 will be widely adopted - cause the ppl who have the goggles and demand for watching 360 is rlly minimal for now But the course gave me a much wider and better perspective of the technology and industry  Got to knw more abt the content that 360 videos shld feature (def not traditional media content), the limitations of filming them (stitching)...

那幾天，我們上了王小棣老師的課 而最大的收穫，就是認識了徐譽庭編劇和她寫下的《荼靡》 「就因為你覺得委屈，我就沒有委屈的權利？」 「受惠的人不會感激你，犧牲也未必是一種成全，往往感動的，只有你自己」 「要成為一個幸福的女人，就務必要記住一個道理⋯ 別急著追向幸福，那樣的幸福往往會讓你失望。女人，最重要的是要替自己找到定位。那樣，才能讓屬於你的幸福，走向你。」 「不幸的人，才說後悔。」而說後悔的人，必定不幸。 到處打卡，好好生活，經歷多了，感動有了，好的靈感和故事就來了 我私下問老師，我們是否應該順應時代，往戲劇注入正夯韓劇成功的條件，但她說 "Be Original and Creative" 不要急於成功而在一堆糞土上安插一朵鮮花 那種 '成功' 並不長久，也是種假象 更重要的， 是把土壤培植得肥沃些，把基礎打好些、每一個故事都把框框推開多一些 故事動人些，觀眾也就會多一些 我們還有好長的路要走，好多的故事要說 謝謝你，老師。
