So nearly every team I’ve supported lost the match Hahahah ok tbh I keep changing sides also lol It’s like supporting whoever that’s on the losing end so that the game will come to a draw and continues to be exciting But deep down supporting the team that is supposedly better and bears greater expectations from the fans Was the same for the match ytd btwn Eng and Croatia so while I hope England can win I supported Croatia when they were losing Problem is that I didn’t expect them to eventually win lol I think it all boils down to the idea of “may the best team win” So while I preferred Belgium over France, France was indeed the better team But not in this case cause England performed so much better in the first half but Croatia only came up v aggressively towards the end Sigh I guess the best don’t always win The eventual result doesn’t do justice to a team’s overall performance

Caught 5 out of the 8 knockout matches and wa it’s good haha like finally World Cup standard kind of good (Quite sad to say this actually cause that means die mannschaft wasn’t playing well but sigh it’s just for this time!) Love how England managed to break the 12year penalty curse after training for it since March - this simply goes to show 越努力越幸運 truly works (hehe this phrase if from 偶像練習生 - more about my new fangirling next time) And many teams truly deserve to win the match though it’s a pity that Argentina and Portugal had to suffer an early exit (Would have felt rlly sad to see Germany kicked out like that but haha quoting my dad, they’re alr out) 😳🙄 France was good at both attacks and defence, and Uruguay was just great at defending and counterattacks Brazil kept the defenders at their fort to prevent Mexico from winning like how they did in their previous matches - learn from others’ mistakes indeed And I particularly enjoyed Belgium and Spain’...

Alright never knew my World Cup fangirling would end this early But yeap, it just did. Disappointed and all but I think credits should still be given to the players for all the hard work they’ve done throughout the years - not just this one tournament or three games but the years back since they played and won matches after matches It was painful to watch them struggle to goal and even defend - especially the latter cause that was what they were so so good at previously You can’t help but wonder what went wrong and why it wasn’t rectified but I guess it takes time and such a sudden exit is a sufficient wake up call for them to restrategize the team And of all the criticisms and people who take the opportunity to slam them, this appears to be the fairest review of all: https://www.forbes.com/sites/robertkidd/2018/06/27/world-cup-2018-five-reasons-why-champions-germany-are-out/#1c7476fd2d2a Meanwhile, winning and losing with Germany turns out to be a life less...

SADDED :( can't believe germany lost to france despite being a much better team :( all the missed shots and chances were agonizing but the referee's biased judgment against the team made it even more painful to watch SOBS still trying to keep my screen on the match instead of being sore and turning it off but such a painful night that I woke up at 3am to watch nonetheless, they have evolved so much since the first match i watched for this tournament and they remain as a great team with superb individual players (check out latest addition kimmich!) though they didnt perform like they had in the past few matches especially with the lack of key players the persistence of ozil hector and the rest was amazing and i'm still a proud die mannschaft fan from sg since 2006 :) :) ah and lol i was still overjoyed when i realised i could watch the finals on monday since im working from home that day but guess the joy's no longer that applicable shrugs Alright,...
