still at twenty
Last few days of Xiaowei's twentieth year :)
went on a duck boat tour that my dad has been wanting to go on for ages on saturday
and it was surprisingly fun hehe
and we had so much joy looking at our house and feeling so proud of it hehe :D
thank youuuuuuuuu papa and mama :D
then i woke up early on sunday hoping to go to the zooooooo
which is the place i v much wanna go to spend my birthday cause it's a place of childhood which i can't rlly rmb
somehow - the more ppl stress about growing up/adulthood for the twenty-first birthday,
the greater desire to go to some childish places where i hvn got to go for a long time
BUT it rained since the morning and refuses to stop even after we drove all the way to the north(?) side
so as i was feeling disappointed and all,
i just thought that this could be a lesson learnt before the "legal adulthood" that everyone talks about -
be content with what you have and live life with joy despite the little imperfections
so mama suggested steamboat hehe
off we went to cold storage to buy loads of food and came home to prepare the food and cooked the steamboat :D
broccoli cheese/seafood tofu sotong hotdog crabmeat etc super yumz :D
then off i went to grandma's house and there i was surprised (more like pleasant shock actually) by the decorations and great spread my aunts prepared for me
and i was in mega cui clothes ._.
but thankful for the efforts though i can't rlly talk to them or express myself well shrugs
what makes this party even more meaningful is actually - seeing my parents happy
have been so against the idea of party cause i rlly dislike socialising etc
and it's so costly gosh
but i was still feeling bad cause they rlly wanted a party for me and i guess it's a way to make them feel proud that their child is finally twenty-one
besides, they only got one chance to do this lol
so i contemplated a bbq party for them... which i didn't carry out (thankfully since it rained so badly)
and glad they found joy in this simple party
as seen from the looks of my dad - all the smiles - haha and from my mum's verification after the party
in fact, one best gift i got from this party
is a photo with my grandpa :)
have been wanting to do so in ages
but just couldn't get myself to ask for one
so glad i got it :D
though getting one w my grandma is gonna be so difficult :(
the biggest wish for this year - health for grandpa and grandmas, dad and mum, and family :)
