the constant change and humans' brain

times have changed,
so have humans,
and organisations.

last wed, while i was on my way to clep talk with 黃老師,
we had a talk on guides atc
and how this year is pretty much different from what we had.
she recounted her two days there and one part of it was the atmosphere.
instead of what we had, yknw, the filled with fear and disciplined,
where no one smiles/laughs,
this year was one where many of them bonded with smiles and laughters.

the only constant is change isn't it?
so is guides and every batch of girls.

we were different from our seniors,
and so will the juniors be different from us.
who are we, to expect the exact same from them?

i suppose the root problem of it all,
is that we are unable to adapt to changes in our used-to-be organisations.

if not,
there could be two other explanations :)
one would be that we are continually expecting the best (that we have assumed to be standards of the past)
and the other,
quoting from ms huda's fb,
Nurul Huda Hassan
And this is why PW will never be removed from the A level syllabus - too many vengeful students wanting their juniors to feel the same pain they went through.

uhuh, get my point? people just wants others to feel as tortured as they were.
but i'm not saying that everyone is
i'm just saying that i suppose everyone has that mentality
judging from how there's 27 likes to this comment hohoho :)

lastly, there's this one significant sentence that i vividly remember from that conversation was,
the seniors have over glorified their past.
from ms/mdm ngau :)
*and she has a plot!*

indeed, everyone thinks too highly of themselves, and their past.
we can only point out the mistakes of others but seriously,
what about your own mistakes?

i don't know how did a simple memory triggered this post but before anything else,
my op is in one and a half day.
jiayou :)
