Every child in the playground had two lollipops.
Well, almost every child.
A child in the corner had none.
The other children felt bad and offered the child one of their own.
Bemused and bleary, the child knew not which lollipop to take.
Another child came, the child remembered not the child having been there before.
This child had only one lollipop, and offered it.
The child stared deep into the eyes of the child with only one lollipop.
And continued pondering.
